SUOMI Hloubětín – a new Finnish neighbourhood in Prague

Locality

We are transforming the locality on the border of Prague’s Vysočany and Hloubětín districts into a new Finnish neighbourhood for you, where modern and pleasant housing in the Finnish style encounters the peace and quiet of the local nature.  A residential complex, which we are planning to expand to include another part, will gradually be going up in the area between the Kolbenova and Hloubětín metro stations. The SUOMI Hloubětín project, with almost 900 flats, is now going up over ten phases. The complex will also include a preschool, which is currently under construction.

Architecture

The entire neighbourhood is unified by the austere and functional design of buildings with clear lines, inspired by Scandinavian architecture, on which the influence of Nordic nature can be seen. The complex takes the best from the style of Finland, YIT’s motherland. You will be accompanied by everything Finnish literally at every step. In the SUOMI complex, you will walk down streets bearing the names of well-known Finns and at the tram stop you will be welcomed by statues of Arctic hares, which are found in abundance in Finland. You can give your body a workout by Rokytka Creek on the fitness path, ride your bike, enjoy a quiet walk or just put your feet up by the clean water. We have also thought about your pets. They can frolic in the nearby dog meadow that we are planning on building in the complex. Plus, the immediate proximity of the river and the greenery make the entire locality much cosier and cooler, thereby creating pleasant conditions in SUOMI even in the summer heat.

The Finnish neighbourhood is designed to manage water responsibly through a system of channels, contour furrows, and seepage and retention reservoirs that help to capture rainwater. The water will then be used for watering and maintaining plants.

Excellent traffic accessibility

A great advantage of the complex is the excellent traffic accessibility. Whether you choose the Kolbenova or Hloubětín metro station, you will be there in a few minutes. The metro will take you to the centre in less than a quarter of an hour. There are also two tram stops right by the Finnish neighbourhood. An abundance of parking spots for your cars is also a matter of course.
