A word from the architect
"The Meopta building has dominated the panorama of Cibulka Park since the middle of the 1960s and has always reminded me of a large steamship, anchored in part of the city. I tried to maintain this dignity throughout the entire project. The entire PARVI Cibulka complex is essentially comprised of seven apartment buildings in a row. Thanks to the central entrance with services in the passage, however, it looks like a residential palace."

Director's view on Meopta

“We never considered demolishing Meopta, even though the building is not a listed monument. This site in the middle of the villa neighbourhood has huge potential, and thus from the beginning we planned on revitalising the brownfield and giving the building a new use. Thus it will remain a landmark of the entire locality.”

History of the ZPA Košíře (Meopta) factory

The history of the factory dates back to the year 1919, when the Srb a Štys, a company that was involved in fine mechanics and optics (mainly the production and repair of horological instruments), set up their seat here. Production gradually expanded to include optics for geodesy, biology, medicine, education and military orders and before the Second World War the company employed hundreds of people. After the war the plant did not avoid nationalisation and was renamed as Meopta n. p. Košíře. Geodetic devices, microscopes, telescopes, etc. were manufactured here. In 1963, the company reorganised and changed its name to ZPA Košíře. It then began to produce precision mechanics and electromechanics (e.g. tape storage for the computers at the time and optical measuring devices for machine tools). In recent years, however, the interesting structure has fallen into disuse and now will be transformed into beautiful housing.

        • INNER COURTYARD WITH PRIVATE PARK

          The basement of the building offers a functional civil protection shelter, which will remain intact. Plus, cellar stalls, a pram room, rooms for washing bicycles and dogs and a shared workshop will be placed on the underground levels. Do you want to get a thorough workout after work? We have prepared space for a small fitness room with facilities in the form of change rooms and toilets. The connection of the PARVI and AALTO Cibulka projects created an enclosed complex with a common reception and inner courtyard, to which only the residents have access. There is a green park with a water feature here, plus relaxation areas with benches and a playground, where children can safely play. We are also building a space where, for instance, a café could be.

        • FEW MINUTES FROM THE CENTRE OF PRAGUE

          One great advantage is the perfect location, which will satisfy those who love a peaceful environment and those who want to be in the centre of the action. While PARVI Cibulka stands on the edge of a forest, the residents are separated from busy Smíchov and shopping zones by a 10-minute car ride. Thus, the Nový Smíchov, Galerie Butovice and Metropole Zličín shopping centres are literally within easy reach. In PARVI Cibulka you can park your car in the underground garages, while a bus stop is located in front of the project, which connects you to the tram and metro system and the Praha-Cibulka train station is a five-minute walk away.

        • WITH NATURE PARK BEHIND THE WINDOWS

          The Košíře-Motol nature park full of unique sights is close to the project and is also an ideal place for lovers of jogging or golf. The forest park entices with peaceful walks, for example to a romantic forest pond. Nature begins literally outside the walls of the complex. The inhabitants will find a wide palette of civic amenities with the necessary services right in the locality and the immediate vicinity.

        PRAGUE IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND

        The pinnacle of living in PARVI Cibulka is represented by the four exclusive roof-top apartments, created for all lovers of luxury and extravagance. The panoramic views of the icons of Prague architecture will take your breath away!

        The apartments feature glass along its entire circumference and offer a wonderful view of Prague and its environs from all sides. Two separate single-storey apartments with a generous area of 250 m2 are located in the corner towers, while two more exclusive units on the sixth floor can boast of large adjoining terraces. As a matter of course, these apartments include built-in closets, plus the owners will be able to use a sauna or have a hot tub installed. The airy, open spaces bring a lot of natural light into the rooms, which is so important for creating the perfect home. The entire floor has a rectangular shape and a direct elevator with secure chip access leads directly to the two apartments in the outer towers. The penthouses on the uppermost floors will contain above-standard technical solutions and they are completed to perfection by the large rooftop terraces and green gardens.
